Some of the places had that "smell". I grew up on a farm, so the smell of poop doesn't bother me either but I can tell when it smells sick. And some did. Some of the pens had 5-6 hens in a small cage and they were debeaked. I don't want hens that are debeaked. I want them to be able to peck at something if they need to.
I'm with you there. Some of them are battery hen's that have been rescued, or should I say they are trying to make a buck.

Haven't found any fertile eggs at the WF or TJ's around here.You crack me up!Hey, I've heared Whole foods and Trader Joes has fertile eggs. I haven't seen them but have read post about them.
