im waitin for DDs d' uccle eggs to get here! im worried tho! one egg was all that we could get n the color we wanted! there are 4 in total that we kno of! they were supposed to gehere saturday but were held till today to be delivered! they were shipped last wednesday! hope they are good!wish me luck!!!!

Hey Everyone!!! Had the big poultry show in College Station Saturday. I did as expected. The girls I thought would get DQ, did and the others did OK. My cock is the one I'm really proud of . . . I need a naughty smiley . . . although he's still too small (he placed 3rd out of 3, but, of course, I think he was the best looking one there-I'm sure I'm not prejudiced or anything

.) Talked to one of the breeders whose been showing this breed about 3 years and he said I need to worm - I was suspecting that, but now I definitely will. Next show I will be attending is in Beaumont in March. Hopefully, I can get him to grow by then. He is a good looking cock . . . again, with the naughty smiley. Had lots of Marans there and the breeders are so awesome!!! I love talking with them. I learn all the time. Lots of other birds. I think there were about 1000. Next show I will attend is in Beaumont in March

Did you get your eggs?

yea we did! by the time we got home from gettin powder we were too late but the postman brought them back! although the one we wanted looked kinda iffy.... it looked like oil stained paper on the ends? i sent thebreeder a msg and she said she had the same issue with her eggs... idk? sounds fishy? anyone know of this issue?

Awww, you left his name Powder. I liked that roo, I hate I had to give him up. Wow, lucky you they brought your eggs back! I've never seen the oil stained egg thing though. I got 18 Bev Davis BCM chicks today. These are replacements for chicks I got a few months ago that turned out to be "projects" instead of pure BCM. Hopefully we will have better luck this time.

I also had two black split Ameraucanas hatch yesterday and one EE and three OE hatch today with three more zipping and pipping. Life is good!

Good morning! I hope everyone is getting some of this soaking rain that's falling here. I have had 2.34" since yesterday morning and it's still coming down. My girls aren't crazy about it cause they don't free-range in the stuff. Have a wonderful day!
