I love watching eggs develop! what did y'all set? Im setting Arkansas blue, bcm, bantam Sicilian buttercup, Sumatra, oe, buff faverolle, EE and trader Joe eggs

i should set my second set saturday!

I set around 4 dozen eggs this afternoon. Duck and chicken.

setting eggs Saturday! anyone else

i set some lavender orpington and black copper marans eggs. going to set some legbar eggs next week when they arrive in the mail

,will be putting those under a couple of broody silkies. hopefully they will cooperate and still be broody. i have them setting on some dummy eggs right now so they should be.

We have 3 roos right now and we are trying them out over our mixed flock so a batch of minorca, GL Cochin, and olive egger roos over golden sexlinks, blk sexlink, SLW, NN, & a BPR... so we will have a yard full of mutts! Lol
Do you breed your sumatras or did you have your eggs shipped? Arkansas blue.....? Is that a game fowl? Never seen one... pix? Pls?lol

Wow! Ten hours since the last post in here. I guess ill just end that since i really have nothing relevant to say. Sorry to all of you that are getting the email update and jumping on to read this....lol

lol yes my dh says i'm on here too much too lol. the Sumatra is a single egg a friend gave me as a pick me up cause my hubby lost his job...actually all my eggs set right now are lol. the Arkansas blue is from university of ...leghorn X araucana cross. they are prolific layers of blue eggs. will post pics here soon!

nice!!! good luck! as for my setting eggs today... i may only set 2 or 3... my girls are on strike! they were penned with my minorca roo and layed well with him, swapped him out with our cochin and the eggs slowed... then just stopped almost completely! only my golden girls are still laying!!! HAD TO BUY EGGS LASTNIGHT!!!! i havent done that in MONTHS!!!

i candeled this mornin and found lil red beans in most of our minorca crosses!!! the few cochin crosses we have in there are not showing much but they are brown eggs and im just using a led flashlight to see em... 2 of the 5 eggs i bought are good as well.... after today we my be getting rid of our minorca and cochin roos!!!! they have been battling our new roo and having a crow off nonstop since 5ish!!!! my yokohama, silkie, and d' uccle roos are the only ones not joining in on the sing along!!!!
