They will be beautiful no matter what. That's the odd thing about mixes. They are almost always beautiful. Unless you have a naked neck in there. YUK. by the way I just HAD to go look at a full sized picture of that boy in your avatar. He's lovely!

I'm locking down 24 mix eggs today. I love the mixes! I'm trying for a rainbow egg basket.
I have to draw the line at the NNs. That is just one ugly chicken. (Sorry chickletteSarge) Seems like you would always have to be explaining to people that there is nothing wrong with it, it's supposed to be that way.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm sorry Sarge, but NN are just the ugliest thing I ever saw LOL. I do hear they're great dual purpose chickens, can take heat better than most breeds, and are a lot easier to pluck since they have a lot less fewer feathers (not just the neck, lower density all over).

yea when we want to see if shes ready for pickin we just part her feathers and thurrs the boob! chicken boob that is! its gettin nice n juicy and only took er a year!!!!
