I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while!!! that may be me when my wife gets home today, feed store just called to tell me the production red pullets I ordered were in and to come pick them up. I forgot all about them!!!!!! Oops, at least there's only 5 of them. I'll probably be sleeping with the chickens tonight!!!! only thing is my buddy had me order 20 for him and she's gonna see all those chickens and freak out.

My dad has been in the hospital recovering from a car wreck, which is tough for anybody but especially when you're 87. I just sent him a copy of that picture, and told him I know he's a tough old bird, too!! I know he'll laugh like crazy when he sees that!

Just tell her they are his... and when she's not looking sneak a few into the other brooder... (or into her pocket... but I think you would want to warn her that they were in her pocket just so she doesn't freak out when something warm and fuzzy moves around in there.. )...

I guess I forgot to say they are about 5 months old, if I try and put one in her pocket I know I'd be sleeping with the chicks, but thanks I needed that extra laugh today it's been a long one!

Trying my hand at uploading some pics. I was just at TSC Tomball and they had some new chicks. A very small number of Asst Bantys S/R. More Cornish Rocks and Reds a tub of potluck (one of the pics) and some Molted Java's going to check on this one as I think it was supposed to be Mottled Javas (in any case the other pic) and some spelling lessons for one r the other of us...

i wish the TSC in conroe would get some interesting chicks...all they had for the first week was cali whites and production reds...banties were gone in 2 days along with their ducklings. Never got to see any of those.

Thanks for that! I will tell him about your best wishes. He broke both bones in his left leg, just above the ankle. They did surgery on it, but he can't put any weight on it for three months. He's gone from the hospital to a skilled nursing facility, where he's getting physical therapy to get him strong enough to go to a dedicated therapy facility. He's gonna be more fit and strong when he gets out than he was before all this. Not being able to come home and get back to all his projects is making him cranky!!
