Texas

did you ever look on Youtube for the chicken training videos? There are a lot more on there too
What tickles me about this whole thing is this: Dogs are considered a lot smarter than chickens yet chickens are easier to train. Meaning they understand what is wanted and are more than eager to do it for food. So wait.. dogs are smarter? hehe

Hello - I'm new here, from Euless (DFW area). No chickens yet, just reading and learning and developing major chicken envy reading about everyone's flocks!

Welcome! I was the same way! Spent about 3 months reading and learning and got my 9 babies 2 weeks ago! Lots of info here and best of luck!

yinepu,

I loved the chicken clicker training videos! A friend of mine teaches clicker training seminars in the Houston Area. She focuses on horses. It is a really effective training method because it marks the correct behavior and is a reward based system.

He is so cute and everybody's talking about dogs/chickens training and pleasing. This will little will give you about 7 or 8 years (maybe more if you're lucky) of doing ANYTHING to please papa. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Texas thread. That's what I did too, study up before I got them. I just got my first egg yesterday. Such a feeling of accomplishment (for me), maybe the chick too.
