I tried that, did not work, the polish that was lighter was impossible to see after 2 days and the dark stuff got pecked at by the others.  Just my 2 cents, LOL!  I use zip ties, change them once when they are 1 week, then again at 3 weeks, normally by 6 weeks, I can leave it big enough to grow into.

Has anyone tried the UV ink and a hand held black light? You only have one color, but the other chicks couldn't see it.

How do you get the zip ties off of their legs without hurting the bird? That's what I keep worrying about.
