Pretty! I think mine are gonna look like your second pic
Thank you. They are sweet ladies. It did take a lot of just sitting in the chicken tractor with them to get them accustomed to me. They are okay around new people as long as the person(s) move slowly around them. If not they make a racket and flap their way to the coop or me. I got mine from Ideal Poultry last March as day old chicks. We received an order of 50 heavy laying hens of mixed breeds. They all grew up to be a mix of the two kinds I kept. A friend of mine who bought most of our chickens last summer so we could downsize.

My other EE similar to your girls likes to hide...but, she has the black tips on her hackles like your girls. Difference is she has tail feathers that are positioned very similar to a sebright's.

Am I missing the tales on your girls? Or are they rumpless like Araucanas?
She is beautiful. I don't think they are rumpless. I found some pics of their tail feathers. Do they qualify as rumpless? I am still learning about different chicken breeds.

It is hard to get a good picture of my Amerucanas. They never want to stay still enough when the camera is on. It is strange, like they know when the camera is on or off. I take most of my pictures using the camera because my phone camera sucks.

Nope, not rumpless! **grins** Imagine them with absolutely no long tail feathers, just the short ones that go around their heiny ...it looks weird.

Very pretty girls, too. That particular colouration is pretty common in EEs. I think it's gorgeous.

Yeah - I've gotten to where I take video and then save a particular frame I like.

Yeah - tell me about it. So much going on - and, my trees are exploding in green...Awesome to see.

Only thing is, now everyone wants deck furniture, so my husband is being slammed with orders for Adirondack sets....which is great

. Except it means he doesn't have as much time to devote to building my coops and runs.
