Texas

Oh this day is going so sloooow!!!! Nothing going on at work today and they won't let me go home cause something might come up!! Darn it and they don't care that I have a coop to finish!!!
I wish I were slow at work. It's insane, here. And only going to get worse. My slow months are January and February...I lucked out and got a bit of slow through March this year, as well...that's changing. I can't say I'm thrilled about it. Honestly, if I could figure out how to pay all my bills and work part time at the local feed store, I'd be all over it.

BTW - disabled vet, here. And, I grew up a military brat. Let's just say I have my own issues with the government and military bureaucracy. ((edited out a mini-rant))

Hi! We are just west of Fort Worth, in the Weatherford area. We are new to chickens.... still looking actually. I finally convinced my city dweller husband to move to the country. We have a llama, and St. Croix lambs on the way, and my daughter is bound and determined to have chickens! We are looking for Wheaten Ameracaunas and some colorful Guineas.

Well my job is primarily damage control! I am on standby for when the place I work for has electrical problems, so I am only busy when something burns or blows up! Right now everything is running fine and all pumps are pumping, which means another slow day for me so thank goodness for BYC! And on another note I'm not to fond of the government either! Especially when they try to control everything in my life.

Spent many a day doing the same thing. I worked a few maintenance jobs but mainly new construction. I did electrical work for 35 years. Would still be doing it but got crushed by a backhoe 5 yrs ago and can't do that anymore. Chickens, garden and my 2 1/2 yr old grandson are about all I can handle these days. Disability and any profits from chickens and chicken accessories
