Hello Everyone!

I am in Southeast Texas near Lake Livingston and am fairly new to the chicken hatching business. I've kept chickens off and on my entire life but never in the quantities I have now and I never incubated. Currently I have 5 hens that I use for eggs and about 60 chicks; some of which I will eventually breed others are to add to my layers. I have: Buff Orpingtons, Australorps, Braggs Mountain Buffs, Gold Laced Wyandottes, Ameraucauna, White Crested Black Polish, Brown and White Leghorns, Red Sex Links, Welsummers, Salmon Favorelles, FCMs and Silkies. I also have 2 Bourbon Red Turkeys, 1 Royal Palm, and 1 Narangasset. 8 ducks, 2 emu and hopefully by the end of next week 4 Sebastopol Geese chicks.

Whew, that is a lot to list!

welcome! im in the conroe area so not too far away from ya!! You have a nice listing there! might start bugging you to sell me some, LOL!!

Give me a couple months and I might be begging you to buy some. Tomorrow I am headed to get 2 more GQF cabinet style incubators so I'm sure chicks are in my very near future!

Yes! Chicken math has indeed beat me. Once or Twice. I officially no longer promise the hubby "but I'm only getting X.." He just knows I'm coming home with babies.

As soon as I walk in the door after being on a 'run' for "just some feed" or "just a bit of hay", my husband always asks, "So, what do we have now?"

DW just called me to let me know that all my 8 week old were in an accident today...with or without help(i dont know yet) the roof of their coup was open enough for them to get out...and i am 9 chickens down....sad day at cockle-dood ranch.

Little wing, i may be getting a few older birds off you soon.

im down to 3 SLW's and 2 polish that happened to be inside still, grateful on my procrastination on that front! Gonna attempt to get my big coup ready since my smaller one still has issues obviously!
