Yes, otherwise the blues will become so diluted that they will look like splashes. I have one like that now.So when you breed the blue laced red, you have to toss in a black from time to time?

He's been crazy busy. Makes me not mind supporting him if I'm going to keep getting this kind of work out of him![]()
My place literally grows rocks. No digging required - just walk around and pick them up. And, no, actually, I'm not kidding. It's insane how many rocks we have here. From what our next door neighbour told us (he's the builder and designer of this house), a significant portion of the rock in our house is actually from this very property

In the BLRW I use a black laced BLRW. The difference between the black lace BLRW and a GLW is the BLRW carry the mahogany (Mh) gene and the GLW carry the gold gene.Is it a solid black you mix in? Or one that's black edged lacing?
That's what I was wondering. I was wondering how you kept the red without going brassy due to the gold. Now it all makes sense. In the BLRW I use a black laced BLRW. The difference between the black lace BLRW and a GLW is the BLRW carry the mahogany (Mh) gene and the GLW carry the gold gene.
Always use a laced because otherwise I would loose the lacing quality. If I were breeding solid Wyandottes I would use a solid colored bird.

Watching the news now.. they said that houses were leveled.. some burnt to the ground.. some had windows blown out
a nursing home had lots of damage.. and a school had caught on fire from the first explosions
plus fatalities.. but they don't know who or how many (they just said there may be as many as 60 or 70.. including a few EMS and firemen)
evacuating people in the surrounding areas now because they are expecting another tank of chemicals to explode...
apparently there are at least a hundred injured
