I have gotten waaaaay behind on this thread....again so I'm skipping past and just asking if anyone near Corpus has silkie or silkie cross eggs up for sale? I prefer to pick some up as I have heard that they are harder to hatch so shipping is not ideal. Thanks!

I dunno about other people's silkies.. but I have several dozen silkie and cross eggs in the bator that were lost in the mail for a week.. most of them are developing nicely..


I'm not anywhere near Corpus though so I can't help out with chicks once they hatch .. and I'm not sure who all on the Texas thread has them

well, if your not more than 4 hours from me PM when yours hatch/ready to re-home and I may just drive up to get some if no other opportunities present themselves.

I have driven through Killeen looks like it's time for a google map it lol I'll get back with you and see how that will work. c:

I let the younger guys outta confinement this evening. Everything seemed about smooth as i can be expected...some eager attention but nothing that caused me concern. Tomorrow will tell! Workin on their free range area tomorrow!

I'm in between Killeen and Lampasas... sadly I must admit I have never been as far south as Corpus.. so I have no idea what the drive time would be

The drive is fairly close to 4 hours for me. So it would be nearer 5 for you.
