Spent the morning hanging a mister line. Horses think I'm God. Our palomino hadn't moved until I turned them off.

Chickens though the wet leaves were the best ever. And then, ohmygod, there was strawberries in the leaves!

tempting tempting tempting. are they outside already?
They are in the brooder pen. There is a heat lamp in there at night but I never see them under it. I just moved the biggest one to a pen with some older chicks without a lamp. I think it squished one of my little Lav chicks last night.

You know you want em.

If you can find an inexpensive way to get them to new braunfels, I want that little lavender one

I wish there was an inexpensive way to ship birds.

They are cute. This is Ideal Poultry's description of Blue Cochins. I was with them until "Poor producers of med size brown eggs" . I don't have the space for poor producers.

Blue Cochins have beautiful plumage color which is the result of heterozygous laced blue color, which does not breed true. If black birds are mated with splash birds, all blue offsprings are produced. Their striking appearance is due to their great size and abundance of soft, loose plumage that distinguishes them from every other breed and gives them an appearance of being much heavier than they actually are. Cochins are relatively poor producers of medium size brown eggs, but because they are the most docile of all breeds are an excellent choice for pets.
