The mosquitoes spread fowl pox bad, especially here in the city where they go from coop to coop. There are lots of people in this area that have chickens. The good part is once they get it, and survive, they won't get it again. Most of my grown chickens were vaccinated for it but I haven't done it in a while and a few of my young ones got a lite case of it a while back after a rain and the mosquitoes got bad. I've got a bunch of chicks right now, guess it time to vaccinate everyone that hasn't been.
You get the vaccine from the feed store. You have to mix up a whole bottle of the vaccine. It's enough for a bunch of birds. You dip a little pointed applicator in the vaccine and poke it through their wing web.
