Howdy everyone!
I'm Tammi from Copperas Cove. I have two little girls (Jessica and Lynn) and a adoring hubby who loves country living as much as I do.
I had to stop by and make a account since I didn't even know about Backyard Chickens site until yesterday when I became the proud new chicken mom to some BEAUTIFUL birds from a member here. She gave me the website address and told me to stop on by if I had the time. So here I am!

The new chickens I got are 6 Dorkings (3 silver ones and 3 red ones), 6 Yokohamas (red and some pretty ones she called blue), 3 Auracanas (I think that's how it's spelled). And all three laid eggs this morning! The most beautiful shade of blue I have ever seen in an egg!
I am just so happy with my new babies. They are so friendly and have such sweet personalites. My father in law saw them this morning when he came over for coffee and asked me where I got them. So Yinpu expect another visit from me and FIL. He said she is NUTS for giving these birds away! But I don't care since we're chicken crazy here and frankly I would have taken every single bird you're giving away if I had the room for them! I might have to get rid of my old chickens to make room for some more of yours!
Has anyone else on here taken advantage of her freebies?

BTW Yinpu, my little girls were fighting over the blue eggs this morning so I may have to get an incubator from you too. I forget, when is the class for making the capans? I know you told my husband and we have some little roos that need the operation real bad. I lost your phone number so please let me know!

Hello Everyone,
I am in the Cleveland/splendora area and my last batch was rooster rich anybody need some roos for there flock?

We are trying to stay away from having too many roosters. We got a bunch in a straight run hatch order from Ideal hatchery and we're going to take Yinpu's class on making them into capans. Are yours too old to do that to them too? I know you need a bunch of special surgery tools and stuff. She has some kits that she's made with all that stuff in them so we'll just buy ours from her.
