Good night pretty girl! "See" you tomorrow

I went to my son's 4th grade parent orientation night tonight. They were talking about a new program called BYOD, Bring your own device. Where kids can bring there electronic devices to get on line and do school work. They were going over the program and they said they would teach a concept to all the kids when getting on line. After hearing it, I realized I need to apply this to my own Internet interactions.

THINK first, is what you are posting:

Thoughtful
Honest
Intelligent
Necessary
Kind

It is amazing what you can learn by going back to the 4th grade, LOL! I hope to encompass this going forward. I don't agree with everyone and I don't expect everyone to agree with me, does not make either of us a bad/wrong person, what makes us a not so nice person is how we choose to respond and react to those that don't agree with us. That shows real character.

PS Sweet Dreams, God Bless and Goodnight

Is anyone around SAn Antonio interested in fostering some bottle kittens? *she says with a hopeful smile*
I just finished bottle feeding a kitten I was given (he was found at Lowe's when he was only 2 days old). Turns out that he was the runt and he's tiny! I hope you find someone to foster them. They do take a lot of work, but they are very rewarding to raise!

I just thought I'd share that I just started my first Facebook page, revolving completely around my backyard poultry.  I've been looking everywhere for other people in the Rio Grande Valley, but there don't seem to be many.  Hopefully, I can find some others who deal with the same issues I do, including:

- Weather (Heat and Rain and Drought and those darn mosquitoes)
- Availability/Cost of Feed
- Breeds (or lack of variety)
- Coop set-ups, and
- Buying/Selling/Trading

Everyone is welcome to join Laura's Backyard Poultry!  I love meeting new people, even people who don't necessarily live down here.  I also hope to inspire others to get more involved with where their food comes from.  Homesteading is such a great movement that is sweeping the nation and while I'm trying to do my part, I think people down here have been doing it for years without even knowing about it.  Owning chickens/ducks/turkeys/quail is just one thing people can do simply to really do their part in maintaining a sustainable lifestyle.

I have a question about Texas. I'm brand new to Texas, in the San Antonio area. I've heard reference to "the valley" when I've been at a nursery talking about things like fruit trees. Where is that?

Good luck with your facebook page. I was hoping this thread would help me with the issues you want to address, but it seems to spend an inordinate amount of time on topics that lean to the political side.
