Quote: I have 11 that lay at this time and I'm getting 7 and 8 eggs a day...
I don't do anything special with lighting or temp control...just make sure they get lots of nutrition...hmmm
I agree. BTW I've had one or two cats at a time for most of the past 45 years, and I've never had a rodent problem, even in older homes. In fact, when my kids had hamsters or gerbils, they learned from experience that if one escaped that was a death sentence.Thank you! It is work, but we feel it's the best kind! We take care of our animals, and in return they take care of us! It goes full circle and it's awesome that we can actually see the fruits of our labour come to fruition!
Ironically enough, with the cats, we don't have a rodent/bug or fly problem (Yes, I said fly lol) around our house. Our cats have adapted to fly stunners/killers when there isn't anything to chase around the house LOL
Yesterday I went to the ranch to complete my cage. I was also waiting for a friend named Joe to come visit me and get some chicken. Joe did not show up as usual. Late evening, I was about to call him and chew him out for no-show. But I hold off as Joe always did that to me and I would see him on Monday at work. I planned to come to see him and tell all our co-workers of how reliable Joe is .... for a good laugh as we are best friends.
Well, this morning I came to his dept .. just to find out Joe had an auto accident Sat night and died.
3 mos ago when Joe heard about my engagement in Vietnam, he asked me to help connecting him with a lady overthere. I talked with him about getting his picture to a few ladies there .. but we never had a chance to take picture. Well, it's too late for me to make his life a little more romantic.
Joe ... may you rest in peace and go to heaven where you will find happiness.
