Do you have any Banamine to give him a few hours after the vet left if he still seems colicy?

No.  I think that is the shot the vet gave him in the neck.  I asked about pain med and he said that he had some paste at home that I could get for future use, but he did not recommend anything for the rest of today.

He is just standing in the shade by the water...he looks sleepy, probably exhausted.  He and I did share a PBJ sandwich, so he will eat treats, but he is not grazing.

Poor baby rolled around so much during the night his temples and hip bone areas are raw.

The vet said he did look really really good for his age...did I already say that?

Edit:  It's now 2:15 and he is starting to graze...still just in the area where he has been standing but the vet said that is a good sign he will be okay.  I'm exhausted.

Sounds like he's out of the woods, glad he's OK now :)

I am so glad he seems to be feeling a bit better and in less pain.

Having a hard time posting from my phone. Good looking chickens gooselady.

Here are photos of my two coops. I love the chicken tractor. It was my first. Very easy to clean.

That is worth a try.   I think it's probably too late with this go 'round.

Although.....you know I still feel it in my sinuses and back of throat but when I was out with the horse all day, walking him and massaging him I did get pretty hot.

Tomorrow I have a doc apt for my diabetes.   Maybe I should ask for an antibiotic to keep from getting the lower resp infection I always get.

Thanks for the info, it is very interesting.

Have you ever tried ear candling. Helps sinusis drain and and so not get clogged up.
Your symptoms sound like mine before I use ear candles.

Good morning, Miss Lisa!!

It's overcast and 60 here 25 miles east of Austin! No fog.

Henfortherapy - I have not candled before. I would probably catch my hair on fire.

I've wondered about Raccoons, but haven't been able to prove it. I'm also getting less eggs then I would expect, and have wondered about snakes.
Sound a lot like racoon. It has been a big problem with coon this year. They ate the chicks and got the eggs in my cages too. Time for setting the traps. If you use Nite Guard, lower them about 18" from the ground. Good luck

I have good news! Last week I found out a strange bird in my flock is a EE Rooster. Legs is almost 37 weeks old, And we heard him crow for the first time about an hour ago
