Unfortunately I still actively working so not much vacation left.

For Thanksgiving I will go to Houston Thurs, then come back again Sun (for some reasons we celebrat my mom b-day twice).

For the Vietnam trip, I will leave on Sat Dec 21 and be back on Tues Jan 7 (the wedding is Sat Dec 28). I will file petition for my wife in Jan and expect she will have the interview in late summer. If she passes, I will come back to VN late summer to bring her and Charlie here.

Tomorrow she will visit the doctore for another check-up. I hope she will have some good ultrasound photos of Charlie so I can share. Come on boy, spread your legs wide and say Cheese.

My RIR lay beautiful eggs but they are so aggressive with my other chickens. That's the only thing I don't like about them.

My very first batch of chicks in 1996 had a RIR in the mix. Every time I stuck my hand in the brooder I felt something tick-tick on my fingers. Being new to chickens I thought it was just their little bodies flitting around. Then I realized the RIR was PECKING me each time!

My orps did not lay until they were 7 months. My lace winged Wyandotte laid at 5 months.These are the only chickens I have experience with laying eggs.
