Skunks smell like bottled lemon juice to me. I'm weird.

I actually like the smell of skunk in small doses. I once had to wash a dog off that has been sprayed point blank in the face. There were droplets all over her face, poor dog. It was so strong, I could not even recognize the smell as skunk. I almost threw up from the noxious smell. It permeated my whole being. It was awful.

I do not care for the skunk smell. A momma skunk and her babies would return at about 3 am to their home under my Mother's porch. The bedroom I was sleeping in was directly beside it. The young ones would wrestle around and spray as they played. It was awful!!!!!. No sleep after that.

I think the reason the miracle noodles are on the list is because they are nearly calorie free....the rice noodles are going to have a lot of calories in the form of carbs. I would suggest you portion it out like it is just brown rice.

Consider using spaghetti squash as a noodle substitute.

I actually looked for spaghetti squash at the grocery store, but I didn't have any luck finding it. The detox isn't meant to be low calorie, though. It is just meant to remove all the foods that can be the triggers for insensitivity.

I started today and it was okay. Tony, my bro, is much more affected. I had to quickly fillet a black drum so he'd eat right away. I think the lack of choices make him grumpy.

Here is what I are for brunch!

I made the same thing for Tony, but it wasn't as filling for him because he doesn't eat avocado. I had half an avocado in there.

Oh well. I am feeling a bit of irritation (partly from the restrictions, partly because I worry about Tony, and partly because people keep making stupid comments (Example: Oh, I'm sorry you are hungry, honey! Do you want some of my chips? Oh crud, I'm sorry, I completely forgot!)

I'm gonna eat some more drum once it comes out of the oven. It has a weird tropical flavor from the coconut oil. It's kinda great. :D

A German Shepherd Dog is actually herding dog. I think your uncle's dog is a bit of an anomaly. They should be good with livestock and small animals. I am not at all fond of mastiffs.

I'm not looking for one now--I have far too many dogs. I have four mini Dachshunds, the oldest 12, two 10 and one 8. When the oldest three Dachshunds go, I think I want another dog.

I also have a pit bull mutt who is just 3, but I don't expect he'll be very long-lived. I found him as 3-month old puppy, almost dead after being hit by a car. I took him to my vet to be put down, but the idiot vet went ahead and fixed him up without asking me and then gave me the bill. I can't believe I actually paid the bill! His leg was shattered in a million pieces--the radius, ulna and humerus were all fractured. He really should have been put down. I didn't look at the x-rays until long after, but she just put a cast on the leg from his elbows to his toes. Either she didn't see the fracture in the humerus above the cast--I'm talking about a complete fracture, even an idiot could see the two pieces of bone that should have been one--or she chose to ignore it and just patch him up. To fix the humerus with the shattered ulna and radius below it would have required surgery and she knew I wouldn't pay for that for a mutt puppy I found on the street. He must have been in incredible pain dragging that big wonking cast around with a complete fracture--two pieces of bone floating around grinding against each other--above that cast. He's a really tough dog. Eventually, the pain is going to be too much. He's an incredible dog, though. Really lovely temperament.

Most Pitts are incredible dogs - until Humans ruin them. I got the one I have off the street when he was about 6 months old. He was in that puppy biting stage and I don't think the previous owners knew how to handle that, so they must have dumped him. I laid down the ground rules right from the start and he has been golden ever since. I smacked him (not too hard) every time he started chewing on stuff he wasn't supposed to and gave him a rawhide instead. He soon got the picture. Smart as a whip. He is the best dog, but his hunting instincts make him want to chase my hens. I have to lock him up when the hens are out or I will lose a few. He's okay as long as I am standing right there watching, but let me get busy doing something else and take my eyes off him and he's chasing chickens. He loves it! I'm not sure he knows the chickens don't enjoy his game.

Interesting day on here today. lol!

I was able to source free, gently used pallets today while out cycling. They are going to be delivered to my house next week. So glad some apartments I cycle by are getting new shingles. :) I asked for 35-40 pallets. I think that will be enough to build my coop. :)

It was 77* here today. Sunny too. Perfect! Tomorrow, not so great. 37* with a chance of freezing precipitation. It goes down hill from there. Winter Storm warning even. The weekend will be terrible and Monday will have a low of 10*. The chickens in the area are going to need sweaters! Thankfully it starts to get better after that.

I hope everyone stays warm over the next few days.

I'm still researching paint colors and came up with a lot of sources for 1966 paint colors. Don't you just love the internet? Now to find one that will match my brick. I'm drawn to the oceanic blues but a friend suggested I stick with warm colors since my brick is a warm color. Why oh why did they make orangey brick in the 1960's?! Running to HD tomorrow to grab a bunch of samples before the weather gets really bad.

I've been really lucky. He's leaves my chickens alone. I wouldn't tempt him with small chicks, but he ignores the chickens. He does chase the cat--all play, but dangerous rough play. I keep them separate. The cat has my bedroom and the back yard where he and my husband hang out together. He took a long, long time to teach to be gentle. He's a really, really sweet dog though. I thought he would be a really useless watch dog--he loves everyone. He's the only dog I've ever known who will drag me into a vet's office so he can meet some more (people) friends, even after all the painful procedures he has had to endure. I was surprised to find that he is a very good watch dog. He greets everyone as if they are his long lost best friend. When my movers came he was out in the front. They were a half hour early, so when I went to bring him in he was standing in the middle of the drive, 25 feet from the gate just staring, no glaring at the movers. Then he walked to about 10 feet from the gate and just sat there staring. As soon as I came out and called, he broke his stare and ran up to the fence tail wagging and being happy to meet new friends. Smart, smart watch dog.

Good Morning everyone. It's early Thursday, humid and warm across Texas. Enjoy your last day of summer.

Wishing little Lisa a good day ahead.
