I live just north of Nacogdoches, and we got a couple inches of snow last night. It was still on the ground this morning, when I took this picture of my ducks out frolicking in it.

Are all of those Applewhites? Love the pic!

The Legbars are going good.... I am hoping to have some that will be ready to show at the Fancy Feathers Poultry Show in Dripping Springs on the 15th of March.

I'm going, too!!!

The smaller ducks, and the drake that looks a bit like a mallard, are my Welsh Harlequins. The bigger ducks, the buff females and the big drake with a grey head, are Saxonies. There is one all white duck in there, and its a White Appleyard.

Good Morning Cold Texans!!

Here in Rosenberg we have some ice.  It is in the high 30's.  My DH just made it to work and no traffic or problems! 

I am keeping my flock in the coop until the sun comes up (???).  My two roosters have large combs and wattles.  Hate for them to lose them.

Ya'll drive safe and stay warm!

19 here but no precipitation. I wish there was,....to be this cold without snow seems pointless and a waste of the temperatures. And my arthritis (yep, blessed with that at 35) hates the cold.

We have a lot of  ice a few miles north of San Antonio.

My pickup is covered in a sheet of ice couldn't open the doors if I wanted to

It is 40 degrees at 12:27 PM. The Winter Storm warning has expired for my area. The ice has melted. They are cautioning people to drive carefully tonight since the temps will be dropping again.

It was 18* when I woke up this morning. It's in the low 20's now. Brrrrrr!!!! No snow/ice here. It's a sunny day. I doubt we will see the forecasted high of 42* today though. I baked a devil's food cake this morning and now I have yogurt culturing in the oven. My bread proofing setting is the perfect temp to make it at so I didn't need to buy a yogurt maker. I hope it works. An hour in the trainer and then work. So glad it is Friday today. Keep warm and stay safe!
