Made my first "flock block" today. Didn't really follow a recipe but they liked it, just used their layer pellets, scratch, applesauce, molasses, greens, garlic, some herbs, and one egg,and oats. They loved it.
Anyone got a good recipe for treats? I can only find feed and mealworms close by.
It was their lucky day! Lol
Man...i need to get my oven fixed! Lol. I miss my baking Sundays
Thanks for the info!! Can you believe we dont have any HEBs up here??Its one of the things i miss the most about the Houston area. Never thought id miss a grocery store. We DO have a Whole Foods here, where we didnt down there. Its a little bit of a drive but not terrible.
Hey I'm not sure where you are in hou, but in katy I have 4 HEBs within a 10 mile radius of my house.
Welcome from McKinney! How do you like your Mille Fluer? I had 3 chicks that didnt make it and Im still kind of kicking myself for not getting them replaced. Maybe next spring..

Waiting to hear back from my friend.
Awwwh so sweet. I can't wait until one of my hens go broody. My mystery chick. It arrived in the box with Wyandottes from Meyer as a "packing peanut". I know there are a lot of chickens that start off as little yellow fluff balls, but anyone want to take a guess at breed? And, I'm not so cruel as to hold the chick upside down. It appears my phone camera doesn't know the difference in orientation.![]()
