Texas

Busy day today 13 dump carts of dirt and just as many of grass clippings, but the yard and the run are looking much better.

I moved it all in and dumped it out told the Ladies I moved it in you get to make it pretty.

Not sure if that is "Husbandtry" OR *Husband ie*

Either way I hope it lasts longer than the last time. My Neighbor has a Hog and I think he gets testy with Chickens around her, So until I get the property fence up My ladies have to stay in the run unless I am outside with them.

I don't want the ladies to pester her either!

I have always wondered who came up with eggsalad. I think I have figured it out. I was trying to make deviled eggs. I could not get the shells off in any decent manner. Tomorrow I will be making eggsalad.

I haven't tried this yet, but was doing some reading and came across this idea for cooking easy to peel fresh eggs.

So cute!

The winds are gusting again this morning! I planned on doing some more raking today, but may have to wait for a less windy day.

Gave my babies some cut up strawberries yesterday. It took them a while to get used to them. So far, their favorite treat is hard boiled eggs. Grapes and bananas did pretty good. Just takes them a while to get used to something new. I put some leaves into their brooder from out of the coop. They thought it was a monster coming to eat them! Took them a long while to get in the leaves. Now they are scattered all over the brooder.

This is where I got the. I understand there are competitors to this product now. http://www.pickl-it.com

Interesting

I hate when that happens. A few years ago I read how to boil eggs perfectly every time and that works (add eggs to cold water, bring to a boil, cover, remove from heat and let sit for 20 mins) but they still sometimes stick to the shell.

I do not remember where I read it and I haven't tried it yet but I read that if you add baking soda to the water when boiling eggs the shells peel right off.
worth a try
my children were here this weekend and robbed me of all my eggs.

Maybe I will try it tomorrow.
I'll have to try this. Do you remember how much? I guess I will Google it. Don't you just love Google? :P

So cute!

My first chicks will be arriving the end of the month now or the first part of April.

Sunny and warm today! Spring is back, and I hope to stay. That wind is a bit chilly this morning though.

Gorgeous day here in Houston! I'm loving my spring break. I'm getting so much done but the week is flying by! Just very thankful I'll have summer soon

I use older eggs and a handful of salt in the water. Works perfectly almost every time.
