One of our Easter Eggers from Cackle is getting so pretty, I just wanted to share! I don't know how we've missed it, its like overnight she just blossomed.

I wish I could tell from pictures which chick she was but they all look so similar its so hard to tell!

Hey there!! Well I didn't get chicks to start off with I went for pullets because I was interested in getting eggs quickly.
I know of three places-tractor supply co over by the Merrill center (I 10 and 1463) wabash antique store on Washington (call first to see if they have chicks-I got 3 of my pullers there and they have been nothing short of wonderful! 2 Easter eggers and a black australorp.)
Now there is a lady who has a ranch outside of Belleville about 1 1/2 hours from here and that's where I got my first 2-a white leg horn and a barred rock. About 6 weeks after I got my first 2 from the lady in bellville my barred died. I think she had an impacted crop but I was so new to all this that I just didn't know what to do or where to turn.
Now, all 4 are just doing fabulously and laying like crazy. I was at TCS last week and it was everything I could do to get out of there chick less!

I'm from way down in Mission Texas. Just wanted to say hello and welcome. I know down here that Tractor Supply Company and the box stores for pets (petsmart and the other one--can't remember it) They have chicks right now. Plus, if you go for a ride out in the country look for feed stores. I'm fortunate enough to have a feed store that sells chicks year round and it's a mile away. Hope that helps.

You can get chicks just about anytime-ordering from places like ideal and others that ship. Depends on how picky you are about what kinds you want

We actually do have quite a few feed stores just a little bit west of me. So, I will def check that out. Now that I’ve read some replies, I’m liking the idea of pullets over chicks also
