Texas

As always my friend you have the info! Your my chicken goo-roo! Lol so what I need to do is get him all the info on the a Polish frizzle and let him read up on their up keep so he can know for sure what he is getting into before hand. @showbarnmom if you can get me a pic of what your look like grown I will also get him info on yours as well. He will be able to make a more informed decision.
Another thing about Polish that your friend should know is that their skull is "vaulted" like skull "A" below. They really do have holes in the top of their skulls, and because of that are a little more delicate and susceptible to injury than normal chickens are. I had no idea that Polish were so, well, deformed when I got them. Their inability to see makes them a bit more flighty. If I don't pull the tape up the feathers in my little Polish in my avatar, she has trouble finding food. It is very sad to see her when she can't see--she'll jerk her head about to try to flick her top knot out of her face so she can see for a brief moment. Because their vision is so impeded, they make very poor free range candidates.

WOW! That is really cool! The skull part that kind if stuff fascinates me! God is so cool! Lol It's sounds very sad the way she has to deal with her top, I would have to pull it back too!

Yes Lisa I have noticed that you ask for pics but don't post many yourself. As for you being short I myself am only 5' 3" So it's not because your short that we pick on you it's cause you so likable and can take a joke as well as hard out one. It's all in fun!! And if my wife had her way we would have 1,000's of chickens here she wants a few of every breed she sees on the Internet and she spends hours looking lol. Only reason she does not talk on here is it's just not her thing to chat on the Internet. She does not even do Facebook much other then posting a few pic and that's rare.

Good morning my fellow Texans!

Yesterday I was able to let my chickens out of the coop for the first time into their run. Let's just say they were a little apprehensive. Only 1 brave soul ventured out by herself. There was a curious Guinea though. It was already 5pm or so when I finally got the human door, chicken door, and waterer mounted so they really didn't have much time any way. I dropped the door open this morning so I am fully expecting at least some of them to be outside when I get home.
