Texas

Yes Lisa I have noticed that you ask for pics but don't post many yourself. As for you being short I myself am only 5' 3" So it's not because your short that we pick on you it's cause you so likable and can take a joke as well as hard out one. It's all in fun!! And if my wife had her way we would have 1,000's of chickens here she wants a few of every breed she sees on the Internet and she spends hours looking lol. Only reason she does not talk on here is it's just not her thing to chat on the Internet. She does not even do Facebook much other then posting a few pic and that's rare.
You wife sound like my husband. I call him a Facebook creeper. He will get on there every once in a while and look at what everyone else is saying and if he has a neat picture of a oil well issue he will post it but not very often. Just not his thing.

Good morning my fellow Texans!

Yesterday I was able to let my chickens out of the coop for the first time into their run. Let's just say they were a little apprehensive. Only 1 brave soul ventured out by herself. There was a curious Guinea though. It was already 5pm or so when I finally got the human door, chicken door, and waterer mounted so they really didn't have much time any way. I dropped the door open this morning so I am fully expecting at least some of them to be outside when I get home.

That is so cool. I can't to get mine out in their coop. That is the first goal of this week. Then we will work on the pen and then we will put the nesting boxes, new brooder and the long term feeding and watering systems. Got to get them out of the house!!

They are so cute! What kind of sheep are they? I like black faced sheep best. :)

I'm in the North Dallas area just outside of Allen. I'm new to this, but somehow jumping in with both feet.
Very exciting! :)

Welcome to all the new people. :)

It's warm, cloudy and humid here this morning. Rain is in the forecast. :) I hope really get some this time. It is dry out there.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Sister Dear ..... I know that I missed giving you your x-mas present. But this year x-mas, for sure, I will give you some nice shoes, i mean high shoes. Just down a block from my house, there's a shoe store that has a Spring sale with a big sign "Buy one, get one free". And you will live happily ever after, and Stand Tall like a Texan

Trying these out today. I've been seeing a lot of cookie recipes made with cake mix so I thought I would give them a try.

I can hear someone's chickens. Not sure which neighbour it is, they also have a rooster. :) I love that I can have the windows open and hear all the birds chirping - even the chickens. Can't wait to get my own....
