how do you get rid of them??? how do you choose?? That is one reason I don't want chicks. I really can only have like 6 max, but I'd have a hard time getting rid of any not knowing how they would end up. :hit

Well, I expect some natural casualties as well as possible predators. The roos will go as well as any with bad temperaments. If I end up with a lot of hens I like, we may just have to expand the coop. Using 2 sq ft inside the coop for young bantams, I could house 24. I wouldn't want to do this very long, but could do it temporarily until we put together another coop or found good homes for them. I won't kid myself about the future of the roos, but the hens should be easy to rehome.

I am just going to stop reading this form cause there are to many people giving away chicks. I can only keep so many.

Wow that took forever to catch up!

To whom ever asked about my frizzled - they all look different because they all come from different looking hens. Though they are large flock Easter eggers.

This is my rooster with his girls -

Hey there! Welcome from Katy, west of Houston!! You hail from a beautiful part of this great state!!!
What kind of chickens do you have?
Hi! Thanks! I know Katy...been there a few times. Very nice. I have 3 White Leghorn and 3 Rhode Island Red pullets. They're about 3 weeks old now, and I'm enjoying them quite a bit. I'm new to chickens. These are my first. I would also like to get some Barred Rock pullets. What kind of chickens do you have?

Welcome from Trinity! Chickens are addictive... Be careful, you might find yourself buying land just to have more!
