Hi ya'll!

I'm a newbie to BYC and chicken lovin but I'm totally head over heels in love with my girls and completely addicted to life with chickens! And I live in texas...so how much greater could life get??

im in Centerville and haven't perused all 900 pages but in the posts I saw I didnt see anyone very close to me.*sigh* But thanks to the world wide web I see I have lots of "neighbors" in the Texas chicken lovin club!

I have 6 laying hens and am adding 5 more (chicks) hens and a roo or 2 in the very near future. A very spoiled yorkie/chihuahua dog. 5 very wild children, 4 boys and 1 girl, 3 of them teenagers. And 1 exasperated husband.

Looking for a good farm dog/puppy to help herd kids/chicks/chickens and whatever other animal I can add without sending my DH over the edge! LOL poor fella.

Anyway, sooooo happy to have found ya'll!

It is such a pretty morning. I have been going to incubator every ten or twenty minutes to see if I got any babies yet. This is the nail bitting stage I think lol. So nerve racking. Ohhhhhh come on already lol

I don't know how many are Hobbit fans, but The Desolation of Smaug comes out on dvd tomorrow.

Already bought it and watched it last week. It's available for early release on iTunes store. We've lost or the kids destroyed so many DVD's that I won't buy DVD's any more. We buy things we want on iTunes and watch it via AppleTV set top box.

Good movie. Really don't like waiting between movies! ;-)

-- My morning glories, snap dragons, four o'clock, and everything else I planted are coming up in a hurry. Great, right? Wrong. My niece picked all my "pretty flowers" yesterday... Sigh. Oh well, at least I remember what its like from when I was a kid doing that to my grandmother.

The bad luck this week just keeps on flowing. We replaced the front window, finally. So no more seran wrapped window pane!! But, in doing so we found out the TV has been overheating and it blew out this morning. Guess the busted window was helping the TV drive one? Haha....

Jellybean, does it always smell like a bakery on your house? I keep smelling your cooking when you're posting recipes. Yum mm.

Ok pretty sure my husband has lost it. Here is how our phone call just went.

Hubby: has humming bird came up to feeders yet?

Me: I aint seen them yet!

Hubby: great they lied to me and now the humming bird mofia is gonna take u out to try and get to me for not putting them up quicker.

Me: ok james u have been alone on that milk truck way to long and u done flipped ur lid.

Lmbo I think it is time to lock him away in closet for awhile.
