We had company this weekend and they left an extra bottle of wine...I got a little to involved with the bottle while trying to make dinner...

The kids are excited, we are having pizza!  The chickens are happy, they are having Salisbury steak tonight and they don't even know there will be more tomorrow!

Yes, the dogs would have loved some too but the chickens give us eggs and the dogs give us, well...not eggs!

I am the happiest...I am having another glass of wine, its been a long day...

The eclipse is beautiful!! That bright golden red glowing "star" about 10* to the right of the moon is Mars. The tiny star just off the right edge is Spica and Saturn is about 30* off the left side of the moon. It is so amazing, it's no wonder ancient people saw these events as a bad omen. It is cold but was worth staying up to see. Wish I had a camera that would capture it. If you missed this one there is another on October 8th. Awesome celestial show! Good night. Magpie
