Our ducks are eating holes in the ground. Its horrible. I will try to get a picture tomorrow. They make a huge mess with their water and like to drink/play in the puddles when we're cleaning up the run. It looks like I'm going to have to use the tiller again to smooth it all out. I've had the 2 listed on Craigslist since before Easter but haven't had anyone seriously ask about them. They've got to go, they are causing to much work. I wish we didn't live in the middle of no where, a very populated middle of no where, and it was close enough to meet someone to give them to! My husband wants to process the 2 we aren't keeping but they are nothing but feathers and fluff right now. Oh, and not friendly at all. They run from us anytime we get near them but we've handled them even more than the chickens!

My ducks (soon to be @Starfire669 's ducks) eat holes in the ground too. Doesn't bother us much, but our chickens sometimes stumble over them when they're not paying attention. Once they are re-homed, we're going to do our best to restore the mostly level (and grassy) yard we once had.

Once they start laying, I think I'll do the food coloring trick. Heck, if we're still only getting our 1/2 eggs per day, I might dye all their butts to see who our layer is.

I don't know about tie dyed eggs. But if you put blue food coloring on hen 1 booty, red food coloring on hen 2 booty, and so on. all you have to do is put all the eggs in a basket and you will have rainbow eggs! No more Easter Egg coloring. Just paint a chickens butt and let her do the work! Man is that lazy or what?
