Thanks, I have some rabbit cages that this guy wants. All i want is $100.00 for them, well worth it, but he wants to trade me  4 of these birds and a little cash for the cages. I did a little research, but I was betting the best research place was right here.

Make sure you know how old they are... If they are over 2 yrs old it's probably now worth it. Also look them over good for things like mites. I just got some free PRs and I found out 3 weeks later-mite infestation.

I'm no longer receiving email notifications for my BYC threads since April 30th. I've tried everything. I just changed a few things & would like someone reading this to reply so I can see if that will cause the emails to start showing up again. Thanks

Personaly I would feel bad if anything happen to anyones chickens. So I looked up what I could and I cant find any infro on it so I will just say dont any one use it. Cause I dont know what it would do. It just says it kills broadleaf plants. So I am kinda sorry I said any thing
Awe no worries! I appreciate the info. I can use it in my front yard. ;)

Our new Cayuga ducklings are home! Teaching them to eat and drink. ebony is very interested in them and they want her. Lol 1 duckling squeezed through the chicken wire separating them. So I put Ebony in with them and they are climbing on her back and trying to snuggle under her wings. Ebony hasn't quite made up her mind yet. She lets them crawl over her, but she isn't spreading her wings to let them in. But she wasn't broody so the fact that she wanted to be with them and allows them to snuggle next to her is a wonderful sign.

Ok, our broody hen has yet to get off the nest. I can tell as there is no poop on the ground. Been like this fkr a couple days. She is mean as well so I'm not too sure what to do.

Hurrah!!! Glad she like them. I'm so jealous. I shouldn't be but...one of these days...we'll have ducks.

Starfire...I was reading back some and you were talking about your boys and guns....This is what DH suggested...it's what his Dad did when he and his brother were young.
Get a couple of watermelons and go where you can safely shoot. Show them the working of the gun, safety and everything. Then shoot the watermelons. This is a graffic but effective way of showing them what a gun will do. Not telling you how to raise your boys....just a suggestion.

DH walks this property every night with a pistol and rifle to keep us all safe. We live out in the sticks but have been robbed in years past (cops did nothing even though the guys were caught with Dad's stuff. Anyway, that will never happen again and hopefully no predator will get our animals..
