Everyone, this chick is a creme legbar pullet, I saved her from shrink wrapping. She was shrink wrapping pretty badly, I saved her just in time, was suprised she was alive. I then noticed her legs were far apart so she couldnt walk very well, so I have hobbled her for a while now. I tired one thing, which put sores on her legs. So imswitched the technic. Well she hasn't really improved much and she isn't nearly as big as her brother and sister and her feathers aren't coming in as much. I am not very experianced in this situation, so I want her to go to someone who knows what they are doing so she has a chance.

Lacy has a new best friend, her name is Katy. She goes where Katy goes. Doesn't let her out of her sight!!

I wouldn't know what to do with a chick, let alone one with problems. I hope someone here can help.

Where are you located? The RIR chicks were all over San Antonio. It was the BA and BO chicks I had a hard time finding here.

i'm in grand prairie (really close to dallas) even when the chicks at my feed store where in stock the people at the feed store had no clue what breed of chicks they had

so i got 2 yellow chicks 2 brown\tan chicks and 1 grey striped chick but i can can't say anything about the breeds untill they get older.

Just to let you know what has worked for me. I had a rooster that would run in and attack me every time I gathered eggs. Well, one day I grabbed him, tucked him under my arm, and we went on a long walk. I held him upside down by the legs for a while, I held him high, and I held him low, stroking his head with my entire hand. Mainly I wanted to let him know that our "relationship" was on my terms, not his. He needed another tune--up about a week later, but has been a fine gentleman ever since...(months ago). I really think they often get the desire to test us, and the little walk-about puts everything in perspective. Good Luck!!

ClovisMan's "chicken stick" waterer tutorial got my wheels turning but needing something more portable for my chicken tractor, I went to HD and picked up some goodies to build one of my own. Will do a how to w/ pics and parts list later when I get it done. Thanks ClovisMan for the inspiration!

Good luck!

I love my water bucket. Nothing fancy, but easy to use and it lasts my 21 chicks about a week.
