Tiedyemommy..hope your girl pulls through.
Happy to say it looks like he has beat parvo!* knock on wood* he's been keeping pedialyte down all day, even went to the bathroom (which was normal) and ate a teeny bit of boiled chicken and rice with garlic. He's perked up and even got off the bed today! He wants to come out into the living room and see everyone, but he's still so skinny and weak, I dont want him to wear himself out too much

Yeah it's definitely tough. For a bit I really did not think he would make it. I was afraid to go check on him a few times. He got up a even went outside for a bit. Kept the food down and curled up on the couch for bit. I think he's healing I did not think that was possible without hospitalization, from everything I had read.
Husband said that's why he likes the runts: they're used to being fighters

Red is still uncomfortable, raspy, lethargic, dehydrated and pretty much waiting to die. My husband did some research and asked if I thought it would help if we tried Duramycin10 (or a similar broad spectrum antibiotic). At this point I don't know. I'm not even 100% certain she has Yolk Peritonitis, but she does have most of the symptoms...and everything I've read on the subject says it's almost always fatal. Since she's gone all weekend with little to no intervention (because we had no idea what to do, or no hope anything would work), I'm afraid now would be too little too late. Husband and I are discussing treating her (if we can get the antibiotics TODAY), or saying goodbye to Red tonight. Any thoughts?

Red is still uncomfortable, raspy, lethargic, dehydrated and pretty much waiting to die. My husband did some research and asked if I thought it would help if we tried Duramycin10 (or a similar broad spectrum antibiotic). At this point I don't know. I'm not even 100% certain she has Yolk Peritonitis, but she does have most of the symptoms...and everything I've read on the subject says it's almost always fatal. I think we should have tried that on Friday evening, or Saturday morning...when this all started. Red is far too dehydrated, hungry and lethargic for me to believe anything can help her now. I just can't watch her suffer...and I feel she's given up already. Husband and I are planning on putting her out of her misery tonight.

Go flippin' figure. My husband and I decided we would put Red out of her misery tonight, and the next time I check on her she's livelier than I've seen her since Saturday morning. Her abdomen is NOT swollen, and her vent does NOT appear swollen or discolored. The last time I can say, for certain, that she discharged a yolk-colored glob was Saturday...since then she's discharged black & yellow soft stool. She is still dehydrated, and I doubt she's eating much (if at all), but now I don't know what's wrong. I think I will go to Tractor Supply and get a broad spectrum antibiotic to try. She may survive after all.

Animals surprise us sometimes!
Saturday night I was looking at pet crematoriums (we rent so backyard burial is a no go). Sunday, it was like he did a 180!

Good luck with her. If it comes down to it, ending her suffering is the kindest thing you can do
