David,

Take away the fabric. Get them all set up. At sixteen weeks old they're going to start looking for the best places to lay. They'll be encouraged by a comfortable, quiet box big enough for them to turn around in. Adding fake eggs, golf balls, light bulbs, all of those things will be very helpful.

Thanks Kate!!!

I knew I could count on you girl

We graduated from the brain injury program today! They finally told me what all we were working on so that I could continue working on it. Seems it's not so much word finding as the whole thought organization, lol! They used a whole printed sheet of paper and a bunch of fancy words that basically boiled down to the wreck has made me scatter brained (or should I call it chicken brained? hee hee :) There are some other things I need to work on such as control of my random emotions and my super jedi power of anti focus (read, I can't focus very long but I am working on it). I have made some huge improvements in memory but I am still not allowed to drive a car, cook unsupervised, but I can finally take a shower unsupervised! YAY!!! Though I am not sure my husband is going to appreciate me kicking him out of the shower now. :)

You worked as a fleet mechanic? Maybe someday if I ever get my skills back I may need someone to work on the fleet I dream about. I miss my truck a whole lot and the freedom it was.

As far as the migraines, I am so sorry you have them. I have them all day every day until they started me on topiramate. I am about to ask them to up the dosage because the migraines are coming back but I think it's because I am thinking more than I was at first.

If you don't need the help, I don't mind. The method I use for butchering is the one I was taught by my mother who was taught by her grandmother. Though I use a plastic milk jug instead. If anything I will cheer you on for whatever plans you do decide. Eating that first bird that you grew yourself is pretty awesome.

I'm kind of wanting to buy some that are about a month old or older I don't really have the place and time it takes to rais new chicks. I'm not far just in lipan so if you know of anyone who has any please let me know I would like to find some asap. Thank you.
I have a few that I got about a month ago. Two are golden buffs and two are bantams of some sort. A rooster and pullet of each. Let me know if you are interested and I will ask my hubby if he would be interested in parting with them.

Well even after the power being out from 5a to 8p on the 12 day of incubation I let the eggs ride in the incubator and all that were fertile are still going...looked this morning and 3 were piping...mother nature never stops amazing...go little guys go

TSC has gnat bombs. They go in milk jugs, work on flies too. The gnats like the smell and drown because it's in only. I've got them in my pens, and under the quail. They're terrible right now.

I had been planning to breed my two german shepherds, Weiss and Knox, they tied about a month or so ago, and I had written down the date of the breeding and planned everything out. I should have been able to xray my baby next saturday, she has not had any changes, and with how upset she was at being bred, I decided to get her spayed. Also for the fact that she had been a little puny and I was suspecting that she may have an infection setting in since after breeding infections could occur. So, I took the dogs to work with me and set her up for a spay. Lo and behold, the doctor called me in and stated "She's pregnant" I smacked my head in disbelief. So with little more to say, my lil female shepherd is three weeks pregnant, and has at least three little ones on one side of her uterus that I saw. I am excited to see the pups come. Here I was ready to get her spayed and she pulls a blind one on me haha. I guess till after the pups~
