Texas

I just got a mental image of a squirrel in a control room wearing a tiny little headset, looking at a huge monitor showing a map of Texas. And hearing in a squeaky, high-pitched voice: "Houston, we have a problem. Multiple incidents in Cut-N-Shoot. Recommend immediate evacuation per standard protocol..."
That'll give me the giggles all week. :gig

lol! My dogs loves chasing the squirrels. They don't stand a chance with my dogs around. My ducks also chase them out of the yard. Dh has a 17hmr and it works great for squirrels if you have the room.

New to this thread. I'M in Mauriceville,Texas. The self named crawfish capital

Welcome, from Trinity!

To those of you who are in good relations to your local TSC AND have smaller laying hens: Ask the manager for the empty chain boxes. Rip the lid off, lay on angled side. Voila! I'll post a picture when I can. My hens love it, and it was free.

Pop 'em and eat'em. They are good eating if cooked right. They are legal to hunt year-round and, if you are on your property, no license required. As long as they know the feed is there, they will come. I believe they have a network, throughout Texas, and can zero in on an easy target. If they find that they are losing friends and family to humans, they back off.

A good dog will chase them off also.
They are nothing but tree rats.

another bad guy at the coop.

That makes two rattlesnakes, one copper head, two cottonmouths and three chicken snakes since the rains. Guess they all crawled up the hill to get away from the water and went to the poultry.

Still deadly though.

The biggest we have ever killed here was about 5 feet long. The problem with these little guys is they don't rattle and they are very aggressive.
