lol! My dogs loves chasing the squirrels. They don't stand a chance with my dogs around. My ducks also chase them out of the yard. Dh has a 17hmr and it works great for squirrels if you have the room.I just got a mental image of a squirrel in a control room wearing a tiny little headset, looking at a huge monitor showing a map of Texas. And hearing in a squeaky, high-pitched voice: "Houston, we have a problem. Multiple incidents in Cut-N-Shoot. Recommend immediate evacuation per standard protocol..."
That'll give me the giggles all week.![]()

They are nothing but tree rats.Pop 'em and eat'em. They are good eating if cooked right. They are legal to hunt year-round and, if you are on your property, no license required. As long as they know the feed is there, they will come. I believe they have a network, throughout Texas, and can zero in on an easy target. If they find that they are losing friends and family to humans, they back off.![]()
A good dog will chase them off also.

Little earth worm? Cute. ( the ones by my dads place in south Texas get over six foot. He calls the little ones earth worms and the big ones rattle boas. ) Still deadly though.
