Well it looks like I was blessed with two new chickies after the culling of my two poor roosters. My silver laced Cochin hen was a stubborn broody, and today I met a cute little face today. She still has a few more eggs so we shall see what happens. We lost one already, crushed in it's egg I imagine from the other hens crawling in her nest. I moved her to her own area now that she has chicks to finish hatching in peace.![]()

Interesting. Do you do raw, or do you use pasteurization? Also, do you plan on making feta?Rooster,
We've always had Boer. This year we are getting into Nigerian dwarves as well for dairy.
Depends on what you mean by "too late".Hey yall
We are getting ready to move at the end of the month
I'm starting over with raising chicks and ducks
Is it too late to get a bunch of baby chicks this year?
We have a nice and big shed that is going to be the coop
And they won't be outside for several weeks until they are feathered out
The coop will have a brooder in it
We live about an hour west from dfw
