Unfortunately after reading this, as well as many other articles, I'm pretty sure it is indeed the pox virus but the dry form at least. So far they still have a decent appetite and drinking well... Hoping with following advice on supplements and diligence in cleaning, we'll get past this crud. All future chickens will be vaccinated!

My poor, poor babies just can't catch a break! As if the heat and humidity weren't enough, I'm pretty sure they now have fowl pox

You probably know this, but make a clorox bath (wheelbarrow works great), all water's and feeders daily drenched and dried. Antibiotic and electrolyte restorer in the water, and a fan it they are not outdoors. I like to add pine shavings daily in the pen or roosting area, I think it works better than hay---and I have free hay . Good luck, disease sux, catch it early and separate the sick.

The Clorox bath was the first thing I did. I will be going into town for the supplements tomorrow. I have to use hay for now but I change it often.
