Haha Chicks, your town is nothing compared to mine. Ours is HUGE! We have a total population of 458. Yep wrap your brain around that huge number. Lol. But around here pretty much everyone has chickens. So if you hear a rooster crow, wait a second and all the others will try and out do him.

Its nice to know that there are a few others around here, that are just as crazy as we are. But I'll still be "The Crazy Chicken Lady" at work.

Hi all, I live out in West Texas in the tiny little town of Alpine. Just ordered my first chickens today! They should arrive the week of 18 May. Whoohoo!

HELLO FROM TEMPLE, TEXAS! Jerry and I lived here since 1986, with two older daughters, and two wonderful Granddaughters, Sarah, (6), and Abby, (10)..

Our home is about 30 miles south of Waco.. We just recently started having chickens, again.. Dogs wiped us out about 3 years ago, so we almost gave up,

but kids wanted to try again SO now we have 37 - 8 week old pullets.

We sort of put the cart-before-the-horse and bought the chickens before the run was up but I guess they'll make it.. We made them a 'redneck chicken run' until the good one is done so everything is good.
