Now I got tractor envy. Thanks all! I still drive a manual transmission so I still have that. So it is Freaky RGV not the golden variety orb weaver spider hatch out day. I think we have hundreds or thousands. They are not getting invited in. Apparently they are called ?? Their nests are made like orbweavers and they hold their legs in the same manner. http://nathistoc.bio.uci.edu/spiders/Argiope argentata.htm

That's a mess of youngin's on that web dude.

It's been lightly raining/misting since yesterday afternoon here (between New Waverly & Coldspring). I was in Cypress during Harvey and we got water in the house for the first time since it was built back in the early 60's. I blame the bridge on Cypress Creek - water rose high enough to hit it and it acted like a dam and back-swirled the water into my sub. We've been here 2 years now and I'm hoping we get enough rain out of this one to actually soak the ground. It's been mighty dry. We are supposedly going to get a heavy storm this afternoon. Hope it waits until after I clock out of work. :)
