Texas

I bet there will eventually be an iRobot thing that can figure out the sweeping and mopping thing soon. I am waiting for that day as 90% landed on a dog bed so I don't care so much. Some vendor might offer one before I need to do cleanup. Plus it would be cool to have a robot eating dog vomit faster than other dogs.

Late Edit- sorry @007Sean the belgian mallinois sais I can't surf the internet I must go throw frisbee now. Ok I am back from frisbee but now my cat union has showed up. I Did not feed them canned food today so they are more than mildly annoyed.

OK more than annoyed that I am "not the momma". The cats got their can as perscribed in some legal literature?.

@Matejka I came across a good image of the hard working Golden Orb Weaver Spider today looking over my wife's shoulder at her FB. These are most likely the ones you have and yup those are deer antlers. Usually they also incorporate a zigzag thread pattern into the medial aspect of the web itself, but I guess this one had a smaller canvas to work with.

Wow. My problem pest is scorpions 🦂. I kill 1 sometimes 2 a day in the house. Just recently exterminated(Friday morning)..... then Friday 1 sick scorpion in kitchen, same Saturday.
1 sick.
None yesterday, maybe it's working

Yup when the next scorpion makes it into the house I will be expected to become hubbishly fully engaged in making it STOP! I have installed about 100w(2x13w, 1x30w, 2x11w 2x8w) or so of LED and CFL lighting to hopefully keep them out in the garden and not near the house and that has been working. When it stops working I will put up a Permethrin barrier mixed at a whatever is overkill ratio(probably 1/2C per gallon water).

But for now the lighting has really made a huge difference and much cheaper than useless Terminix. I use the day night sensing bulbs so I do not need to switch em on or off cause I am a lazy man. I also try to get the 5000-5500 Kelvin lights hope this helps they make a harsh white light(daylight). And always keep my hand held blacklight by my door if I am going out back at night. I am never going to get stung by an unstomped scorpion. I think mine(blacklights to flouresce them) are rated 560-530nm for their wavelength but that is coming out of my memory glands and could be inaccurate.

This is from an old post scorpion trapped in a jar of milkweed seeds blacklighted and yes they glow that bright my OP said it was a 365nm flashlight hope this helps. I gave one of my scorpion flashlights away to a wonderful neighbors visiting grandchild who got stung at midnight a couple of years ago. I felt pretty cool telling him real men just need real tools and do not need to live in fear after he got stung going pee in the night. :

Woohoo my back 1/3rd acre is going to get cleared. Due to the drought my neighbors goats are now working it. I like the big cattle bell he has around the male goats neck tinkle noise as it works my 4+ foot tall grass back there. So happy I have some cool neighbors that know it is cool to work my land too. My neighbor also knows it is cool to let them into my chicken coops and work there as well. I don't mow much back there as I have tree roosting birds in that pen.

Dude! That's a live deer. That means everything that orb got was "fast food"!
