Momma hen just kicked the last brood out. She is vicious and chases them away from her at 5 weeks. And she's already laying eggs again. Amazing how that works. First guess is 6 cockerels out of 8 chicks. Amazing how that works too. Good news is they only had to be shoved into the coop once and they returned to the coop at night.

My cornish cross reached 1 yr old in mid July. 3-4 eggs a week. Found her dead on her roost this a.m. died in her sleep it looks like. On her roost head tucked by her wing.
