Well! It's about time!
I have been underpinning house the last few days. Sweating my arse off..
Yesterday was humid early, and kinda chilly-then warmed up. I was shedding clothes. Started with shorts then flannels, tank top long sleeve shirt and light jacket. Off came jacket,, then shirt then flannels. At end of day, underpinning is finished! WOO hoo! And I had to walk yard picking up clothes.

Just in time for the cold front!

Cleaned up nicely

You can see that cold front inching toward us in DFW from the NW. The speed with which humidity rose, the temp fell & winds showed up was painful to my fingers and toes! I had just finished burning almost 1/2 again the pile that remained from last night. The coals were hot enough & plentiful that the branches started to smolder within a few minutes of me stacking a fresh pile in the pit.

Almost 1/2 in of rain last night and the coals survived.

Coop & run are prepared for the cold northerly winds for the foreseeable future. 0A594099-E408-4433-B9D5-002C0A2E8402.jpeg
The center of the “Low” is crossing I-35e & I-20/635 in this picture & the cold front is about 50-60 minutes due NW of my blue dot.

We actually got 0.43” of rain last night.
Notice the “feels like” temp?

Forecast shows that Madisonville, Tx (Buc-ee’s midway point to Galveston from here) will see the front about midnight & H-Town will see it hit about 3AM.

As it hits each area the temps will plummet!

Expect to wake up to temps 40*colder with winds 20-30mph….
