I put a heat lamp in the poults' shelter. I just went out and hunted them down- they were bedded down next to the woodshed so I carried them into their shelter. They immediately clustered under the wonderful radiant heat of the lamp. I felt like crawling in with them. The wind was a little stiff.

Forecast shows that Madisonville, Tx (Buc-ee’s midway point to Galveston from here) will see the front about midnight & H-Town will see it hit about 3AM.

As it hits each area the temps will plummet!

Expect to wake up to temps 40*colder with winds 20-30mph….

Just saw the craziest thing in awhile...saw a flash go by the living room window...saw what it was when it stopped to get nectar from the hummingbird vine. Yep, a mighty cold hummer!
It better be heading South and at warp speed! those blossoms won't be around tomorrow!

Thank you for the tips! Probably be about a 5 day trip this time of year, especially since we are towing, but my kids are excited at least about a road trip lol
