All chickens are great. I think there is too much focus on breeds. If you get a mixed flock, they will all lay brown in 3 generations.

I prefer free chickens. I get hatching eggs from the neighbors flock and these girls are great.

Quail lay speckled eggs, but totally different housing and care. Not really familiar with speckled chicken eggs. Guinea eggs are very pretty.

I hate hot, however, I'm ready for it to warm up. Not hot, just warmer than low 40's.
Sighs, I remember when we were ALL complaining, 100+ for days and and days. We wanted cold/cooler.
Be careful what you wish for, you might get it

My Welsummer lays a terracotta colored egg with speckles, and my OE lays an army green egg with darker green speckles...

I want to clean some of the mulch out of chicken run.
What can I DO with mulch.
All my flowerbeds are fully mulched
can i just spred it on yard?
i know someone that owns 100 acres and grows everything. He also has chickens, pigs, goats etc...
I offered mulch to him for his vegetables.
I got a hard solid NO from him
So what to do with mulch
