Texas

Ours is bubbling up from the ground like Jed's black gold. Of course we have so many underground springs.
I've never had so much water in my run! One corner has about 3" standing! I used the pine pellets and straw bales that I had put aside for spring cleaning. Our coop is raised by 8" so it didn't flood, but I let the flock out to free range. I put their feeders and water out in the sun for them. I've got fans running, but I don't think that will help the standing water much. I guess I'll be baling it out. We have more rain predicted Monday & Tuesday.
Well.......I completely understand. I believe God finally got down the prayer list to my prayers. Of course, oldest prayers first, my pray for rain last summer. He's answering-in buckets.
Thought about using my wet/dry vacuum to suction "some" of the wet out of coop. I'm gonna take ALL plastic off and hope for an air dry, but even the air is dripping water , it might make it worse. Seems a wet coop is bothering me more than the birds, their happily clucking and laying.
Of well, tomorrow's a another day.

We better think twice before praying for rain again. I don't know how much we've had, but it's enough.
Same with my birds, but part of the run is unusable right now. I considered the wetvac too, but I think I'd need a sump pump.

Thank you. And good luck! I hope the flooding doesn't come to pass.
We haven't even got our place cleaned up from the ice.
The whole back pasture was underwater. My land is the lowest and closest to the road, so everyone else's run-off moved from their land to mine. The ponds are all overflowing. It's annoying. The goose and duck "pasture" (it's really just a crap ton of mud) is completely underwater. The six-pack (breeding pens) is mostly underwater. The birds in the barn can get on the slab, but their runs are disgusting. The original pen and addition are the only ones not completely flooded and that's because the sit about | | <--- that much higher than my yard so all the water is in the yard. The crayfish are loving it.
I need to get more Naked Necks. I enjoyed the couple that I had. Whole lot calmer than the wild birds I've got now.
Can you imagine if they were ugly and crazy? It's in their best interests to be well-behaved.
We have gotten small, quick showers but nothing serious, the ice storm everyone else got, we got rain but that soaked right in.
I need to mow my yard, grass is a good 6 to 8" high.
You have to mow? I'd cry. And then I'd need a fan boat...

My house already looks like you could film an episode of Crocodile Hunter in it. I don't need anymore rain. lol

You know I always wondered why Tide or another laundry detergent company never hit Terri up for a commercial endorsing their product. lol With the amount of mud that man got into, I'll bet laundry day involved a burn barrel.
