I basicly cleaned nests yesterday. Nest material not deep. No lights, nobody lives with me, so no pranksters. Neighbors know I don't play with prowler (I'll shoot), so it wasn't them.I'm lost on this.

Stopped getting notifications, but loved reading all the stuff I missed! Got eggs due to hatch this weekend, built the frame for the chicken gazebo/breeding pen (still have to roof it), my hubby's got skills And this puppy, cute as can be, can really test your patience

After a couple of times, not gettung notifications, I've learned to periodically click unwatch and then watch. Kinda of a "reset".
I try to do that 1 a month or so

He is the proud chick daddy to be, lol, @ColtHandorf is going to be a grandpa Rocky, the dog, is smart as can be, but man he likes to see just how far he can push it

I need advice.
I have 14 hens and 1 rooster. Enclosed coop and run, nothing gets in,
I have 2 broody hens.
That leaves 12 laying. Yesterday I gathered 14 eggs. Ok, I missed a couple from day before. I searched all 4 nests thoroughly, checked under broody's 8 and 3. So no broody eggs were gathered yesterday by mistake.
Here is where I need advice.
Today, I gathered 17 eggs . Broody's still have their 8 & 3. Where are these extra eggs coming from?
1 rir
6 blue andalusian
3 blue Australorp
2 games
2 games-broody
1 rir rooster

I had 26 chickens, now 25 (Mary went to heaven, bless her heart). I had 20 hens and six roosters and I got 25 eggs a day that late spring, summer, and early fall. I didn't forget any! I'm supposing that chickens can lay more than one egg a day!
