That is a good one! I find there are plenty of good things to say about Texas, as long as we stay away from the weather and the flying bugs.

And fire ants. Someti.es even those nasty things fly.

I hear ya! We got everything mowed right before all this rain started, and now it is just out of control, but so darn wet the mower will just leave ruts everywhere

The fire ants from the yard started a biblical march to the coop....the highest spot in the yard. Bleach for them! They where building on the coop door. Sigh.

I will need to mow by Thursday. I have a plan .....
2 riding mowers-john deere and huskee. Both 17 hp, 42 in cut. Gonna ask boy next door to help me mow. Between the 2 of us, get it mowed in 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Maybe......

I hate fire ants. I use Sulphur powder on them. I'm not sure if it kills them or just chases them out of the yard. I used to put permethrin powder on them, but now I have cats, so I can't use that any longer.

Did a thing, not sure it's a good or bad thing but it's a thing. Bought two of the producer's pride stackable chick brooders just incase we dont get a chance to get all done before my chicks get here on the 26th. I did get them for $150 each as they where on clearance for $199 and asked the manager what she would take if I bought both.
