Texas

We need the rain but I'm tired of it already....6" as of today and today isn't over yet! The ground is so dry and hard that the rain has only soaked in a little bit...I have 3" of standing water in some of my pens and their on sloping land...usually not a problem, even with hurricane rains.
I hear ya, we got 3" yesterday and it hasn't gone anywhere

Two 5 gallon buckets set outside in driveway to be a whole week gauge on rain…
Yeah they are 1/2 full!

Here’s the next few days forecast & yesterday’s “high” and windchill too.

And on an odd note. The PFM is nice. The public (AD’s bloated version) view I’m back in now is Extremely difficult to scroll through any thread now on this iphone. I’m going to have to reset my password (yeah, I forgot it) to look from the desktop sometime this week.

Can anybody point me in the direction of some Whiting True Blue hatching eggs? I’ve reached out to a few people and had no luck. I would like to ideally be within easy driving distance for pickup, but I am open to shipping also. Dragonfly farms in NC seemed like a good place to order from, but they didn’t respond to me. I even contacted whiting farms in CO, but it sounds complicated, I would have to meet up somewhere along their transport route to possibly get some pullets.

Welcome to BYC, and to the Texas thread, & good luck with your search for eggs!
