Texas

I hope it works out for you, and for the rooster. I hate that roosters are undervalued just by virtue of their gender. I hope if it doesn't work out, that you can find him a good home.
We have jobs. Roosters are 50% of a hatch and only one is needed in a flock. They are more curious, braver and are sacrificed for the flock. The pullets are cautious and flighty. This is what has worked for them.

The rooster's job will be gumbo and will be greatly appreciated. I don't think they are undervalued. When a hatch is 90% cockerels, then they are unappreciated. I try not to assign goals to a hatch until I know the makeup. But I do ask the eggs kindly.

Does anybody in the San Antonio area want a couple of male Pekin ducks? They are 17 weeks old.
